Everyday, in the late afternoon, the homeless begin to gather across the street from the Visalia Rescue Mission. Most have no other place to go. They are tired, hungry, dirty and lack hope. They come for a shower, a hot meal, and a safe, clean place to sleep and find much more. In addition to meeting these basic needs, they receive a large portion of God's love. In the process, many discover a newfound faith and a renewed hope for living a productive life - free of drugs and alcohol.

"Hope and restoration through Jesus Christ. That is our mission," says the Executive Director for the Visalia Rescue Mission.

"We are often the last stop in the community for those with only a glimmer of hope remaining in their hearts. We give them some practical help and love and God does the rest."
