OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE

1000 Women of Hope
Activity: Finding 1000 women (or groups of women) who will help support the Shelter of Hope financially by contributing $100/year for at least the next 3 years.

Beautification
Activity: Providing "Days of Beauty" for women to learn not only about enhancing their outward beauty, but also to learn how they are beautiful in the sight of the Lord. Days may include haircuts, facials, manicures, pedicures, and in the future, wardrobe consultation for job searches, etc.

Events
Activity: Providing monthly birthday parties for the residents (men & women) of the mission. These occur monthly on alternating Wednesdays & Thursdays. Other events for the residents and/or shelter guests may be planned as inspiration strikes!

Prayer/Mentoring/Teaching
Activity: Praying daily for the Mission, its residents, guests and staff. Developing a relationship with a woman in the House of Hope or Shelter of Hope with the intention of assisting in their growth as a Christian, as an individual who can become a contributing member of society, and as a mature women. Using skills (cooking, sewing, budgeting, etc.) to teach other women.

Decorating
Activity: Working together to make the Shelter of Hope a "home" - help paint, decorate, find furnishings & appointments to provide a welcoming place. If you want to sign up for a day painting, or to make curtains, or short-term project that has a definite start/finish date, this is the place for you!
